Caleb's first air show!
Thursday, March 26, 2009
Last weekend was Luke Air Force Base 2009 Thunder in the Desert Open House and Air Show... We were very lucky to be there since it only happens once every 2 years. And this time the highlight was the F-22 Raptor-a fifth-generation fighter aircraft that uses stealth technology! Here's a pic of what it looks like from the google search engine hehe as our cameras were not sophisticated enough to capture the amazing aircraft in action!
Daddy enjoyed the f22 show very much... the aircraft is indeed really in its own league! Anyayz, it was a super duper windy day stirring up the desert sand so we had to abandon the famous US thunderbirds (something like our SG Black Knights) after we catch the F22 in its glory. Sand was being blown onto our faces and into our orifices- our nose, our ears, our eyes it was pretty horrible... we had to seek shelter at the squadron while waiting for daddy to finish his shift at the 425th tent.. still it was a great eye opener for all of us indeed.
Here are some photos of our little sunshine! Playing with grand aunt in the squadron while waiting for the air show to start...
Very attentive in the morning...
Mummy kate spading little Caleb. With our SG F16 behind us!
A family pic... Daddy had his oakleys on while poor mummy and Caleb squinted our eyes... Just realise we should have an air plane as a background behind us instead of the stretch of orange loos haha...

About My Name Pronounced as: "K-lerb, Loo-kas"
Caleb- A faithful dog/companion, is also bold. In the Bible Caleb and Joshua were the only 2 spies that had the bold faith to believe that God will give them the land filled with giants. With the odds stacked against them, Joshua and Caleb remained faithful to God's word. I pray our Caleb owns up to the meaning of his name, that he is faithful to God and bold in living his life for God.
Though many might have think that, "huh meaning of a dog???" but when you reverse spell the word "dog" what does it turn out to be?- "God" And you know how much our family loves dogs so when we chance upon the meaning we were like, OMG that's so meant to be. The qualities, loyal companion, big hearted... It's definitely a name great for a little boy and for a man to be! Though Jason and I do not attend church regularly, it's definitely gonna be a good name if he decides to become religious.
Lucas- Light or bearer of the light. Lucas is definitely going to bring light into our lives...
Here's a list of things that Daddy and Mummy are preparing for my arrival and some of them were passed down by their friends & relatives. Others, were gifts! Thank you very much all aunties and uncles, Jies Jies and Kors Kors!
