What a late Week 29 Post! Sorry guys... Had a really busy week before Jason came back... Fixed the car, making sure the house is neat and tidy, also went to witness a friend's baby's delivery! I was the photographer ma! :) Welcome to the world little Keveane! Witnessing the entire delivery makes me look forward to the arrival of baby Caleb even more. Just another 10 weeks!
Anyway daddy is back from Vegas now! Baby Caleb gave us a scare today though. Woke up in the morning and everything was ok, just as we were about to go out for lunch, I went to pee first and guess what I saw? A brown spot! Nothing like that ever happened before and so darling and I decide to call the on-call gynae and asked if we need to worry.
After 3 calls, the on-call gynae final picked up the phone and she requested for us to go to the OB triage to check my cervix. And so we went! We should have had lunch first before we go cause I was not allowed to eat at all after we checked in! Grrr... was so hungry. On the way to the hospital, baby Caleb started to kick and so we weren't so worried about him.
So anyway, back to the story, we were at the hospital and waited for about 15mins at the registry. The OB nurse, a really nice lady, Nancy, checked on baby Caleb heartbeat and everything was ok. She also a V probe and it was clean too with a little bit of old blood though, not sure what that means but she says its ok. And so she went on to monitor baby Caleb's heartbeat as well as the condition of my uterus. And apparently, I was having some contractions when we checked in and she can see that on the monitor. I mean I don't really feel anything just a little bit of tightness on my lower left abdomen... So she went to call the doctor to inform her and ask for directions.
Darling and me were left in the triage room with the monitors on, waiting, while we were waiting, Caleb started kicking and moving while daddy had some fun calculating baby Caleb's heartbeats! I was just lying there enjoying the sounds of Caleb's heartbeat and movements coming from the monitor...
A while later, Nancy came in and said that I had to be place on a bag Ringer Lactate drip. So I had an IV needle inserted... The drip was so cold! I had some shivers. I also have to had a jab, not sure what it contains though, it was used to stop the contractions. The jab was PAINFUL la... Feels like the BCG jab we had in primary school cause it was given subcutaneously. I gave a teeny bit scream of ouch while she gave the jab :( Next while on the IV drip, she came and inform us that we had to go for an ultrasound as well.
We were so happy cause we were given a treat, to take a look at baby Caleb! The sonographer did her scans but I was not facing the monitor and couldn't see baby Caleb at all, but daddy did and he manage to absorb a few info. Baby Caleb had a head of about 8cm in diameter. Baby Caleb size is about 30weeks. We deduce that Baby Caleb has a big head haha... In the end the sonographer did let us have a proper peep at Caleb. He looks so cute la!!! He is head down already and he even gave us a little kick on the machine and we could see it! He had a pretty sharp nose from the angle... Can't wait to see him next week again at the 3D/4D scan! The sonographer says that baby Caleb loves to kick her cause he kept kicking when the sonographer was using the probe on my tummy!
We were then sent back to the triage area to wait for the results. By then my lactate solution has been completed and the pain on my lower abdomen were gone... After waiting for another 30mins to 40mins, we were finally given the ok to discharge! So happy... coz we were in the hospital for about 3hrs plus and I was so hungry.
Anyway everything seems to be ok. And I have an appoinment with Doc James tomorrow. I just need to monitor for other abnormal symptoms! Yeah yeah yeah.
Here's our little souvenier from the hospital...
A bruise on my hand from the IV which is swollen and painful now... :( If you can see it the picture dun seem to capture the swelling and bruise well.
and a little name tag...
Anyway everythings ok now! And hopefully baby Caleb will be a good little boy and stay in his mummy incubator longer!!!
Oh just before I finish the post, I forgot to ask daddy to take a pic of my tummy at 28 weeks, our every 4 weeks pic. Here's one at 29 weeks. Big Big tummy!

About My Name Pronounced as: "K-lerb, Loo-kas"
Caleb- A faithful dog/companion, is also bold. In the Bible Caleb and Joshua were the only 2 spies that had the bold faith to believe that God will give them the land filled with giants. With the odds stacked against them, Joshua and Caleb remained faithful to God's word. I pray our Caleb owns up to the meaning of his name, that he is faithful to God and bold in living his life for God.
Though many might have think that, "huh meaning of a dog???" but when you reverse spell the word "dog" what does it turn out to be?- "God" And you know how much our family loves dogs so when we chance upon the meaning we were like, OMG that's so meant to be. The qualities, loyal companion, big hearted... It's definitely a name great for a little boy and for a man to be! Though Jason and I do not attend church regularly, it's definitely gonna be a good name if he decides to become religious.
Lucas- Light or bearer of the light. Lucas is definitely going to bring light into our lives...
