Finally daddy and mummy are back in Sunnzy Arizona... After like 20hrs of flight plus 3 transit!!! Singapore to Narita, Narita to Los Angeles and Los Angeles to sunny Arizona!
Grrr weather's really hot hot hot, like today's 112Farenheit when we went out shopping for groceries at the Chinese Super market!
Time to cook after the sweet 2 weeks of R & R in Singapore. Easy accessible hawker food and both daddy and mummy's mums, little thumbelina grand mamas are always cooking when we are not eating out! Sigh, mummy gonna miss home very much!
So anyway due to the hot weather, mummy's having headache.
Really happy to have found a chinese pregnancy book from Popular bookstore the other day when we were back in SG, found this recipe that is apparently very good for headaches in the early stage of pregnancy.
Here's the recipe to share:
Fish Head Soup: To cure headache in the early stage of pregnancy
For: 0-3 months (Week 0 to 12)
Ingredients (For 2 persons) -1 big fish head -20g of sliced ginger -2 cubes on beancurd -Sectioned spring onion -5 cups of water
Method -Cut the fish head into big chunks, rinse well. -Heat some oil in a pot. -Fry the fish head briefly. -Add water and bring to the boil. -Put in ginger, beancurd, and sectioned spring onion. -Simmer over low heat for 1 hr. -Season with a little salt and serve.
Anyway the recipe is really really light, and is indeed good to have when you are having a headache. The fish bone from the fish head can be really crazy though and plus the fish monger didnt really clean the fish scales well! Hehe... so make sure all that is cleaned and be careful when you are working on the fish head! Anyway didn't feel like having rice to go with the soup so added spinach and make into Kuey Teow Soup!

Caleb- A faithful dog/companion, is also bold. In the Bible Caleb and Joshua were the only 2 spies that had the bold faith to believe that God will give them the land filled with giants. With the odds stacked against them, Joshua and Caleb remained faithful to God's word. I pray our Caleb owns up to the meaning of his name, that he is faithful to God and bold in living his life for God.
Though many might have think that, "huh meaning of a dog???" but when you reverse spell the word "dog" what does it turn out to be?- "God" And you know how much our family loves dogs so when we chance upon the meaning we were like, OMG that's so meant to be. The qualities, loyal companion, big hearted... It's definitely a name great for a little boy and for a man to be! Though Jason and I do not attend church regularly, it's definitely gonna be a good name if he decides to become religious.
Lucas- Light or bearer of the light. Lucas is definitely going to bring light into our lives...
